RSC was founded in 2017 by Ron Simmons, Ph.D., after he retired as the President/CEO of Us Helping Us, People Into Living, Inc., a nonprofit community-based AIDS service organization that provided HIV prevention and support services for the African-American community in Washington, DC.
Ron Simmons Consulting (RSC) conducted the Bodemé workshop in five southern cities: Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; St. Petersburg, FL; Houston, TX; and Nashville, TN. The workshops were sponsored by the Global Network of Black People working in HIV (GNBPH).
The evaluation report of the Bodemé workshop conducted in five cities found significant increases (p<.001) in: a) Knowledge that undetectable means untransmittable (U=U); b) Knowledge about PrEP adherence and resistance; c) Intention to engage in sexual "outer course" instead of intercourse as a harm reduction approach; and d) Intention to access HIV testing.
Ron Simmons Consulting (RSC) wrote a grant proposal for The Women’s Collective, titled SADIFT (Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves), to expand their early intervention services to two suburban counties. The RSC grant scored 99, was ranked #1 and awarded $425,000.
